【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethodcoversabenchtestproceduretoevaluatethetendencyofautomotivespark-ignitionenginefueltofoulelectronicportfuelinjectors(PFI).ThetestmethodutilizesabenchapparatusequippedwithBoschinjectorsspecifiedforuseina1985-1987Chrysler2.2-Lturbochargedengine.ThistestmethodisbasedonatestproceduredevelopedbytheCoordinatingResearchCouncil(CRC)forpredictionofthetendencyofspark-ignitionenginefueltoformdepositsinthesmallmeteringclearancesofinjectorsinaportfuelinjectionengine(seeCRCReportNo.592).1.2Thetestmethodisapplicabletospark-ignitionenginefuels,whichmaycontainantioxidants,corrosioninhibitors,metaldeactivators,dyes,depositcontroladditives,demulsifiers,oroxygenates,oracombinationthereof.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Approximateinch-poundunitsareshowninparenthesesforinformationpurposesonly.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Specificprecautionarystatementsaregiventhroughoutthistestmethod.Note18212;IfthereisanydoubtastothelatesteditionofTestMethodD6421,contactASTMInternationalHeadquarters.Otherpropertiesofsignificancetospark-ignitionenginefuelaredescribedinSpecificationD4814.
